Today, Microsoft announced the launch of Microsoft 365 Copilot, a copilot for work that combines the power of large language models (LLMs) with data from the Microsoft Graph and Microsoft 365 apps. This new system promises to revolutionize the way people work, by unleashing creativity, unlocking productivity, and upleveling skills.
Microsoft 365 Copilot works across all Microsoft 365 apps from Word to Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams, as well as Power Platform. It is designed to help people jump-start the creative process, quickly draft suggested replies, automate repetitive tasks, create chatbots, and more. Business Chat, a new experience, works across the LLM, the Microsoft 365 apps, and business data to do things that have never been done before.
Microsoft 365 Copilot has been designed with security, compliance, and privacy in mind. It automatically inherits all valuable security, compliance, and privacy policies and processes. Additionally, the system has been architected to protect tenant, group and individual data and is integrated into the apps millions of us use every day.
Microsoft 365 Copilot is just the beginning. It is committed to learning new skills with the help of its foundational skills and the latest technologies, such as InterpretML and Fairlearn. As it learns more, it will be able to perform even more sophisticated tasks and queries.
Microsoft 365 Copilot is currently being tested with a small group of customers and will soon be available to more. It promises to make work more creative, productive, and enjoyable for everyone.
